6.6 Сюжет
16 кварталів - це відстань від поліцейської ділянки до будівлі суду в одному з районів Нью-Йорка. 16 кварталів повинні подолати поліцейський і свідок, якому належить давати свідчення в суді. Поліцейський Джек Мослі - білий, немолодий, втомлений, мовчазний, питущий, майже продажний. Але він все-таки ще зберіг у собі і залишки самоповаги, і рештки професійного кодексу честі. Свідок Едді Банкер - повна протилежність Джека: чорношкірий шустрий базіка, який і сам не радий тій колотнечі, що влаштувала йому доля. Джек і Еді повинні пройти і проїхати всього 16 міських кварталів, але яким довгим, яким небезпечним, яким смертоносним виявиться цей шлях!

Set against the backdrop of a former Yugoslavia of the nineteen-nineties, this is a single mother's anguish of how one must deal with truths and how to cope with a war's terrible past. With a twelve year old daughter to bring-up, both mother and child come head-to-head when a school trip is in the air and complications and rude awakenings arise from the ashes' of the cold and callous days of conflict, xenophobia and its secrets.

Nina is easy to find. She is on the industrial estate, near the gas tower, She is fifteen, addicted to drugs and on the game. George is one of her nastier punters. His arrival turns the temperature up on her already combusting life. He is the scummiest of scummy men, someone you really don't want to be involved with, at all. A magician and a taxi driver offer Nina a quick fix but doesn't everyone want something in return? She won't take it lying down. Scummy man is a gripping glimpse into the lost and misplaced lives on todays back streets. The film is brutally honest, intense and not afraid.
