Герой фільму отримує очманілі гроші — 3 мільйони доларів. До цього часу йому страшно набридла родинна і службова рутина. Скориставшись неочікуваним багатством, він починає вести подвійне життя в іншому місті і під іншим іменем. Але одного дня дві його дружини зустрічаються... Нові проблеми ще більше ускладнюють життя нашого авантюриста. І тут йому на допомогу приходить захоплення запальним і спокусливим танцем мамбо.

Щоб уникнути такої болісної смерти, друзі замислили складну аферу… Жарти, схожі на гумор комедій Гайдая, досить кумедні ситуації і троє телеклоунів як головні герої – ось головні складники цієї комедії.

Leone Stella is a videogame billionaire who has lived an exciting life. Feeling close to death, he wants to leave the company to someone named as him, a man Leone Stella or a woman Stella Leone. A big number of contestants gather for a competition where they have to redo some of the adventures of the old man, the winner being the heir of the billionaire. Between them a radio host (L. S. DJ), a priest (Don Leone Stella), a killer (Leon Stella), a former strip-dancer, a young school teacher and a lucky Leone Stella carrying a space stone talisman owned by a Japanese gang.

Що дозволяє картині піднестися над рівнем пересічної продукції, так це яскравий акторський ансамбль, у якому актуальна Пенелопе Крус грає разом із вічно прекрасною Фанні Ардан та Вікторією Абріль, котра поєднує в собі згадані якості своїх партнерок. Але більшою мірою картина «Немає звісток від Бога» зобов'язана своїм успіхом гарному сценарієві з розгалуженим сюжетом.На Небесах йде боротьба за душі померлих поміж конкуруючими корпораціями: Пекло (тут тіснява, розмовляють поганою англійською) і Рай (пустельна франкомовна зона) посилають своїх аґентів на грішну Землю – за поповненням. Чим далі від зав'язки рухається режисер, тим ближчим він стає до глядача; графік розумової проповіді зривається під натиском емоцій, повінь почуттів заповнює простір екрана.
Перверсні персонажі, що стали з легкої руки Альмадовара загальником, можуть викликати не просто туристичний інтерес. Чоловіче минуле грішного янгола і чоловіче сьогодення засудженого до смерти боксера – мала частина сучасного світу, що здався на милість жінці.
