У багатому Лондонському готелі американський співак і танцівник Джері Треверс пізно вночі показує своєму імпресаріо черговий танцювальний номер. Дзвінкий степ танцюриста розбудив красуню Дейл Тремон, знімаючу кімнату поверхом нижче. Обурена дівчина піднялася вгору і знайомство з порушником тиші відбулося.З першого погляду вони полюбили один одного. Сюжет
Професори Квінсі Едамса Уегстаффа призначають президентом Коледжу Хакслі, що не виграв жодного футбольного матчу із часу його заснування в 1888 році. Дотримуючись ради свого сина, Уегстафф намагається завербувати парочку професійних гравців, але через плутанину в панібратській розмові, помилково запрошує в команду собачого шкуродера й бутлегера. Як би те не було, Уегстафф доручає їм викрасти кращих гравців з команди своїх старих супротивників з Коледжу Дарвіна, але, на жаль, у них нічого не виходить.
