Biopic of Sarabjit Singh, a farmer residing at Bhikiwind, Punjab, near the Indo-Pak border, crossed the border after having a couple of drinks. However, he was mistaken to be an Indian spy and was sentenced to capital punishment. The film Sarabjit however will present the struggle that Dalbir went through while fighting for justice for her brother. Dalbir was very close to her brother and considered him like a son. All her efforts to free him went futile and her brother Sarabjit was killed by his jail inmates when Afzal Guru was killed in India.

The life of a native takes an upturn when a British Businessman Harrison takes him under his wing and christens him Iyob. With all the loyalty shown to his master, Iyob eventually ends up inheriting the tea estates in Munnar after Harrison's demise. With his sons, Ivan, Dmitri & Aloshy, growing up & old age setting in; Iyob is all set to be overthrown by his own children. The story is about how Iyob copes with his decision and their subsequent consequences overlapped with a slick narration by a communist leader.

Sequence of events lead to Chinna escaping from the offering only to find out the mystery behind Thogaimayan's death. But that was too late as too many things happened in his village by then. Now he goes on the hiding. Cut to present, Chinna is taken to be offered to God. What happens then forms the climax.
