Лише двоє здогадуються про причини катаклiзмiв: доктор Тревiс Раєр (Бернс), який супроводжує експедицiї в минуле, i доктор Соня Ренд (Маккормак), яка винайшла технологiю, яка зробила подорожi в часi можливими. Президент <Тайм сафарi> (Кiнгслi) вкрав неперевiрену технологiю i почав її використовувати, незважаючи на попередження вченої. Герої повиннi виправити катастрофiчну помилку, щоб врятувати себе й людство вiд повного знищення.
