Поки рідна Чехословаччина знаходиться під окупацією Німеччини, Мілош Грма влаштовується працювати на невелику залізничну станцію при Богемії. На вулиці 1944 рік, розгортається протистояння між окупантами і партизанами. Мілошу, який ще хлопчик, життя ще не встигло показати всі свої принади, на відміну від диспетчера Губічка.
