Things comes to a boil when one of Arun's children is killed while the others, Seema and he are abducted by Mogambo, who threatens to throw them in an acid pit if "Mr. India" does not show up. Gopal, Lucky, Madhav and Laxman - four guys bound together by their child-like notoriety, aimlessness and petty business of conning people for fun and money. Laxman is an intelligent student who is not allowed to pass by his mischievous band of friends Gopal, Madhav and mute Lucky. This is because all four friends use his hostel room to conduct their activities. He is peer-pressured into running a series of scams in order to earn himself and his friends some money. Once thrown out of college bag-n-baggage, the naughty foursome finds refuge in the bungalow of a blind couple as their grandson. A cat mouse game unfolds as Laxman's body and Gopal's voice makes for Sameer (The grandson from US). Each time the blinded Dadaji comes amidst them, hilarious situations arise Enter Nirali with a bath towel and the group now have time, place and 'resources' to fall in love. Their individual efforts at winning the lady's heart, fail, resulting in rib tickling comic scenes. Apart from their amorous interests, there is a quest for hidden treasure in the old couple's house. For, there is also a gangster in this story by the name of Babli who has his own story to tell.

Rakesh{Abhishek Bachchan} and Vimmi{Rani Mukherji} are two ambitious wannabes from small towns where their dreams are written off as outrageous daydreaming. They run away from their homes when bump into each other and decide to con for once to be financially sound until they make it big. Ironically, they find it too exciting. One follows the another as they adopt fake names [Bunty and Babli] for the same and they soon become the most popular anonymous criminals of the nation. At the heart of it kicks off their romance and they decide to continue their newly-found 'talent' as their means of living. Little do they know that their shenanigans have caught the fancy of ACP Dashrath Singh {Amitabh Bachchan} big time. He leaves no stone unturned in putting them behind the bars. Meanwhile, Rakesh and Vimmi have a child and decide to quit conning for their child's sake. However, its only then when Dashrath Singh manages to get their grab. But he release them after initial incredulity about their changed intentions. Years later, Dashrath resurrects them from their commonplace but dull living to employ their conning abilities, only for nation's aid this time.
