On the verge of coming of age. Aimie is perhaps 18, a Korean immigrant in Canada. It's winter, snow crunches beneath her feet. She lives with her mother. She studies English and doesn't seem to be a particularly good student. Tran is her best friend, and he wouldn't mind if their relationship becomes sexual. She declines, then worries that he might find a more willing girlfriend. Her mother broaches the subject of remarriage. Aimie misses her father, sending him messages to come and visit. What does she have she can count on?

Особливий акцент фільм робить на антирелігійні кампанії, агітаційних марші, а також фізкультурний побут доби. Перший звуковий фільм українського кіно Авангардист та апологет неігрового кіно Дзиґа Вертов з соратниками-кіноками Михаїлом Кауфманом та Єлізавєтою Свіловою переїхав працювати в Україну на ВУФКУ в 1927 році. Тут йому вдалося зняти три фільми й саме тут, в «Людині з кіноапаратом» (1929), вдалося реалізувати його давні задуми та експерименти описані ще в його першому маніфесті 1918 року. Проте лише в «Ентузіязмі» вдалося вперше створити давно омріяний звуковий (радіо-, тон-) фільм.
