Director Iwai Shunji's Friends after 3.11 (2011) is a deeply personal documentary which uses the statements of some of his closest friends to express the views of a society in a state of political despondency.

Радянська влада не тільки зробила усе, аби стерти давню історію містечка, залишивши його без минулого — в результаті аварії комуністи забрали у Поліського і майбутнє. Забруднене місто не було відселене до 1993 року, а інформація про справжній стан справ контролювалася КДБ.Спілкуючись з героями фільму — самопоселенцями, переселенцями, істориками та учасниками ліквідації аварії, автори спробують по друзках зібрати людський портрет міста, назавжди стертого з історії.
