Король Бельгії Ніколас III любить свою країну, але деякі бельгійці не відповідають йому взаємністю. Щоб посилити авторитет монарха вирішено зняти фільм про королівський візит до Туреччини, проте у розпал зйомок з батьківщини приходять тривожні вісті: Бельгія на межі розколу. Ніколас зобов'язаний терміново врятувати Бельгію від сепаратизму і закінчити зйомки фільму, але, як на зло, всі польоти скасовані через бурю. Королю і його свиті доведеться рухатися сушею, перетинаючи нелегально численні балканські кордони, дегустуючи йогурти і відбиваючись від сербських снайперів. Здається, замість панегірика бельгійці знімуть неймовірний роуд-муві, який змінить всіх, – особливо розквітне король!
