Режисер, який водночас був блискучим трибуном, виступав на сходах селян, мітингах, розповідаючи про «щасливе життя Країни Рад», у той час, коли ті вже знали про колективізацію, про голодомор, про масові репресії у Наддніпрянській Україні.

Вважаючи своїм обов'язком не лише розповісти, але і показати американській громадськості, які випробування і які звірства твердо виносять іспанці заради перемоги Республіки, (тому, "Іспанська земля" - унікальний пропагандистський документальний фільм, зроблений на користь республіканців) як народ своєю мирною працею підтримує її, Івенс і Хемінгуей з головою йдуть в зйомку цього фільму.У важкій і небезпечній бойовій ситуації Івенс знімає епізоди боїв за Університетське містечко, бомбардування Мадриду. У травні 1937 р. Хемінгуей повіз плівку в США. Йому вдалося показати фільм в Білому Домі президентові Рузвельту. Він добився випуску його в прокат, фільм приніс велику суму до фонду допомоги Іспанії.

The story of menstruation begins, as the motherly narrator informs us, with the pituitary gland - a gland at the base of the brain that sends hormones throughout the bloodstream that order growth. When a girl reaches an age somewhere between 11 and 17 - the average is 13 - the pituitary gland sends maturing orders to the ovaries, which in turn order the uterus to create a thickened lining, filled with watery fluids and blood. If an egg is fertilized it will remain within that thickened lining for nourishment. But if the egg is not fertilized, the body has no use for the extra nourishment, and it passes out of the body - which is the process called menstruation. The narrator proceeds to disprove taboos against bathing or exercise during menstruation. She advises that girls should keep a calendar that keeps track of the number days between periods. And she notes how good posture, healthy foods and positive attitudes can affect the menstruation cycle.

Four inches long, with a 12-inch wingspread, we see it walk, approach a victim, pull out a patch of fur large enough for it to engage its teeth, then lap six or seven ounces of blood. Its saliva may be an anesthetic keeping its victims from waking. A stub nose and harelip contribute to its efficiency and its hideous look.

Treasury Department, and was distributed to theatres at no charge by only National Screen Services, since the War Activities Committee nor the U. S. Treasury Department had no film-exchange offices nor a theatre-distribution set-up. The premise is that it would take 'taxes to beat the axis', and Donald Duck is a reluctant tax-payer until he listens to a radio broadcast concerning the importance of all U.S. citizens to pay their share of taxes, and Donald gets into a conversation with the radio commentator, and learns why it is important to pay taxes to beat the axis.
