The Chennai Sharks team, years after their happy go-lucky days, re-unite to celebrate the marriage of one of their own. In the events leading to the marriage, they end up enrolling for a cricket tournament which puts an ugly twist to the planned wedding. Vic, an old adventurer, is commissioned by a mine owner to bring the legendary diamond "Mist of Namanga" to the diamond dealer Max. On the way, however, he is ambushed by gangsters and, in his distress, throws the suitcase with the valuable contents into the bush. To make matters worse, he runs into his ex-girlfriend Lisa, who is now engaged to the aforementioned Max - but has caught him with someone else and wants to leave him. In the excitement, however, she got on the wrong bus and now Vic and Lisa are on the run together, slowly getting closer again thanks to various adventures.

Though there is nothing malicious between the groups, they just can't see eye to eye on anything. The only thing common between the two are their abiding passion for rugby. Whenever a problem crops between the two, it is usually settled with a bitter scrum on the rugby field. As it happens, the college land falls into the hands of a local dadha Bikshu Yadav (Pradeep Rawat). This is good enough reason for the two groups to forge a common identity and fight for the land. Prithvi and Shashank bury the hatchet and get back the land. This is too much of a bitter pill for the dadha to swallow. And so he dares the students for a rugby match with his own group. What happens in the deciding rugby contest is the interesting denouement of the film. Thrown into this story is the love story between Nitin and Genelia.
