Ryan Philips (Master Sanoop) is a smart cute school boy who has one biggest problem: Maths. As he struggles to escape from doing his maths homework, he resorts to mischievous acts, little realizing the trouble he is making. As we see his relationship with his dad Roy Philip (Jayasurya) and mother Sameera (Remya Nambeeshan) and conflicts of interest we get introduced to Ryan's grandfather Richard Philip (Joy Mather) who is an antique collector. On visiting his grandfather Ryan gets a magical pen called monkey pen. This monkey pen does his maths homework and soon changes his whole life.

Rahul Prakash Udyavar joins Saraswati Vidya Mandir, which is located in Mumbai's Eastern suburbs, as an English Teacher. Shortly thereafter he also agrees to teach music at the request of Nutritionist, Anjali Mathur. With the school facing shortage of funds, pressure is being brought by Manager Lallan Sharma to try to get students' parents to pay more for a variety of activities. When the Principal, Aditya Sahay, supports Lallan, the students and staff are forced to raise funds. Despite of their best efforts, however, a stage will be set for a much-publicized confrontation that may well result in the closure of this institution.

With extra classes being imposed on both students and teachers, and the recess-breaks being doubled, parents are also forced to pack more food in lunch-boxes. When students evade Babubhai and continue sharing food with Stanley, he calls the latter aside and warns him that he cannot attend school until and unless he brings his own food. Watch what impact this has on Stanley, teachers, and his class-mates.
