Мисливців веде власна таємна культура і знання, що передаються з покоління у покоління, а ще — носи їхніх улюбленців, спеціально навчених собак. Попит на білі трюфелі щороку зростає водночас зі зменшенням пропозиції. Через зміни клімату, вирубування лісів та брак молоді, готової навчатись ремеслу, таємниці мисливців за трюфелями цінуються як ніколи. Однак скоро стане зрозуміло, що ці чоловіки поважного віку оберігають дещо цінніше за жаданий делікатес: таємницю багатого і сповненого змісту життя.
