Революції, війни, жахливий фашизм, концентраційні табори примушували їх впродовж довгих десятиріч вивертатися під ударами долі, приховувати своє походження, змінювати прізвище і віру, щоб зрештою дійти висновку, що не дивлячись ні на що, треба бути вірним тільки собі самому і своєму народу.
