Це аж ніяк не влаштовує його дівчину, яка не бажає носити хіджаб і віддає перевагу більш поміркованій версії ісламу. Фільм "На шляху" актуальний не лише в контексті ісламського радикалізму, адже він розповідає універсальну історію глибокого перетворення людини, в чиєму житті з’являється потужна та всеохопна ідея.

У зв'язку з цим, разом з новим командиром майором Кушем, до бази приїжджає прокурор, поручик Чацький, який повинен розслідувати інцидент з польським відділом у Сребрениці. Коли пілот збитого норвезького вертольота з польськими солдатами на борту просить про допомогу, Келлер, попри заборону покидати табір, разом зі своїм відділом вирушає на допомогу. Загін вступає в бій з місцевою військовою бандою.
