Jacob, a self-styled private investigator working out of his younger brother's auto salvage yard, sees a chance to make a quick kroner when he meets Finn, a simple chap on the dole. He convinces Finn's social worker to buy Finn a partnership in the PI business. He then sets out to train Finn as his assistant. Their first case is to find a young woman who's joined a cult and get her out. Jacob tapes a walkie-talkie to Finn's leg and sends him into the cult to find and kidnap her.
