Фільм заснований на реальних подіях і розповідає про знаменитий англійський загін "30 Assault Unit", відомий також під назвою "30 Commando". Загін був сформований під час Другої світової з ініціативи Яна Флемінга, який служив тоді в британській військово-морській розвідці, і діяв на окупованій нацистами території. Його завданням було знаходження німецької секретної документації й різного технічного обладнання.
