Доктор Джон Демпсі, все життя присвятив пошукам доказів існування динозавра в озері Лох-Несс, отримує завдання за кілька днів повністю розвінчати легенду, що дає можливість непогано заробити всім місцевим жителям за туристичний сезон. Вимушений наступити на горло власній мрії через фінансові труднощі, він виїжджає в Шотландію, де щойно загинув його попередник, який сфотографував "монстра".
