Фільм розповість історію одного двотижневого бойового чергування у вересні 2014 року. Добровольча група військових уперше приїжджає до Донецького аеропорту імені Сєрґєя Прокоф'єва. Стратегічно важливий об'єкт на цей момент уже чотири місяці захищають українці в умовах постійної війни.Доброволець з позивним «Мажор» — музикант та син багатіїв, що потайки втік на війну. Він намагається зрозуміти свою роль на цій війні, саму війну, і що буде після неї. Разом з ним ще шестеро вояків, чиї історії базовані на реальних історіях оборонців аеропорту.

Сюжет

Працівник залізниці Ма Юань організовує команду борців за свободу. Використовуючи свої глибокі знання залізничних мереж, він зі своїми людьми влаштовує засідки на японських солдатів і краде їх припаси, щоб нагодувати голодних співвітчизників. Місцеві називають своїх героїв «залізничними тиграми». Одного разу Ма Юань вирішує підірвати залізничний міст, який неабияк охороняється.
