8.1 Сюжет
Фільм по мотивам твору Чарльза Діккенса «Різдвяна пісня» (A Christmas Carol, 1841) - класичної різдвяної історії про скнару на ім'я Скрудж, якого хвилюють лише гроші. Скрудж до всіх ставиться зі презирством, не має друзів і навіть відмовився від єдиного свого родича - племінника Фреда. Він навчився відмовляти не тільки іншим, але й собі самому, живучи в холодній квартирі, харчуючись звичайною юшкою і не радіючи навіть такому святу як Різдво, вважаючи цю пору марною тратою грошей і часу. Однак у різдвяну ніч з'являются духи Різдва - вони відкривають Скруджу очі на його минуле, сьогодення та майбутнє. Скрудж усвідомлює, що в гонитві за багатством позбувся головного: щастя любити і бути коханим.

The young Loris is undergoing a trial for killing his girlfriend Maria Luce. According to the reconstruction of the facts, the young man would shoot his mistress making it then end up under the wheels of a tram. On the remains of the woman's body, however, there is no trace of a gunshot wound and, during the trial, the accused, who appears hypnotized, refuses to answer. The arrival of the ex-lawyer Cidoni, who takes the place of the defense, overturns the thesis of the prosecution and instead demonstrates that the victim was not a naive girl as had been believed up to then.
