Про каральну систему сталінського режиму. У кадрі скульптор й колишній в’язень таборів Ернст Неізвєстний. Тоді він задумав створити у Воркуті меморіал ГУЛАГу. Не ховає емоцій: «Воркута – це місце, де волає каміння, де ми ходимо, по суті, по убієнних. І початок, ідея очищення має починатися з тих місць, де в самому повітрі, у самій землі, у самій природі є пам’ять. Я ходжу крізь тіні. Наче тут присутні душі. Тому тут місце для цього монументу».Монументальний задум Неізвєстного так і не втілили. московія не пройшла очищення. Навпаки, відновила тоталітаризм. У фільмі закарбовано факт ліквідації таборів у Лабитнанґах, спалення бараків.
