Сюжет
У розпал Другої світової війни в Атлантичному океані німецький підводний човен торпедує американське цивільне судно. Після катастрофи на невеликому рятувальному човні опиняється строката група вцілілих пасажирів і членів екіпажу — від гламурної журналістки до простого кочегара. Ситуація стає критичною, коли вони підбирають з води ще одного чоловіка, який виявляється капітаном того самого затонулого німецького човна.
