Сюжет бере початок зі знайомства та кількох перипетій, в які потрапляє Ісус після зустрічі з рибалками Симоном та Андрієм. Ці люди насправді зустрічалися з Ісусом раніше, та лише на короткий час. Іван Хреститель познайомив їх з Ісусом відразу після хрещення. Пізніше вони знайомляться з Іваном та його братом Яковом. Ця хоч і невелика група молодих, фізично сильних людей із нетиповими віруваннями починає привертати увагу як окупаційної влади римлян, так і ортодоксальних фарисеїв, які співпрацюють з окупантами...Сюжет
