Один з головних героїв серіалу Вілл Шустер, вчитель іспанської, починає організовувати хор, який займається постановкою мюзиклів. Спочатку колектив залучає студентів, з яких збиткуються однокласники. Шустер розкручує хор, і до нього приєднуються інші учасники, які вже не відчувають проблем у відносинах з однолітками. Поступово стаючи командою, хористи набувають впевненості в собі і виробляють імунітет проти стереотипної кастової шкільної системи, що розділяє учнів на «популярних» і «невдах».
