Після знищення храму Шаолінь військами династії Цін багато ченців і учнів змушені переховуватися. Один із майстрів, Хун Сіґуань, стає лідером повстанців, які борються проти загарбників. Через непорозуміння молодий боєць Фан Сай Юк допомагає ворогам схопити Хуна, вважаючи його бандитом. Дізнавшись правду, він розуміє свою помилку і вирішує виправити її. Разом із іншими бійцями він планує небезпечну операцію з визволення полоненого героя з фортеці ворога. Їм доведеться зіткнутися з могутнім генералом і його армією, щоб відновити справедливість і продовжити боротьбу за свободу.
