Сюжет
Психіатр Кетрін Дін - єдина, хто може врятувати молоду дівчину, викрадену серійним маніяком Карлом Старгером. На його рахунку вже майже десяток жертв, а жертвами, як правило, стають молоді привабливі дівчата, яких маніяк нелюдськи катує, перш ніж позбавити життя. Останню викрадену ним дівчину досі так і не знайшли, але є надія, що її ще можна врятувати. Для цього Кетрін доведеться зазирнути у мозок психопата і з'ясувати, де ж знаходиться нещасна жертва і що їй загрожує. Кетрін занурюється у дивний, незрозумілий світ маніяка, який не має нічого спільного із реальним життям. Але у цьому світі, створеному уявою збоченця всі закони виконуються лише для свого господаря.
