Майор Маршал, відповідає за контроль рівня радіації при підземних ядерних випробуваннях. Під час одного з таких випробувань опроміненню піддалися люди, які випадково опинилися поблизу випробувань. Незважаючи на прямий наказ, майор продовжував наполягати на тому, що це злочин, вимагаючи розголосу. Побоюючись скандалу начальство засадило майора в психіатричну лікарню, використовуючи дружину, що підписала необхідні папери, думаючи, що цим рятує його від в'язниці. Коли ж вона зрозуміла, що накоїла, то починає одержимо боротися за справедливість і свого чоловіка...Сюжет
