6.5 Сюжет
У фільмі розповідається про неймовірну дружбу між Річардом, незрілим письменником середнього віку, та Еббі, сімнадцятирічною дівчиною, яка через різноманітні сімейні проблеми так і не відчула повною мірою свою молодість. Невпевнені та боязливі, вони вирішують власне життя покладаючись на уявних друзів. Уявний друг Річарда — одягнений в супергеройський костюм Капітан Екселлент, а друг Еббі — сором’язливий одноліток, на ім'я Крістофер.За наполяганням дружини Клер Річард переїжджає на зиму на Лонг-Айленд, щоб подолати письменницький блок. Прибувши до пляжної спільноти, він зустрічає дівчину, яку наймає нянею, попри відсутність дітей. Їхня дружба, нова й делікатна, переривається домашніми супами Еббі та спробами Річарда створити орігамі. Згодом їхня дивна дружба зростає, розділяючи страхи та мрії, аж до одного переломного моменту.
