7.5 Сюжет
Амір — це молодий афґанець з заможної кабульської родини; його найкращий друг Гассан — син родинного прислужника. Міцна дружба двох хлопців трагічно переривається одного доленосного дня, коли Амір не в змозі врятувати свого друга від жорстоких місцевих задирак. Амір і Гассан розлучаються, потім Афґаністан захоплює Радянський Союз, а згодом Талібан. Амір з батьком тікають до США, щоб розпочати там нове життя.
