Скромний Деріл Дівер працює прибиральником на Мангеттені та зациклений на знаменитій тележурналістці Тоні Соколов. Коли в офісній будівлі, де працює Деріл, відбувається вбивство багатого в'єтнамця, який має безліч зв'язків зі злочинним світом, саме Тоні починає роботу над цією історією.
