До Нової Гвінеї прилітає Сьюзан Стівенсон, чоловік якої відправився в небезпечну експедицію в джунглі цієї країни, і від якого вже декілька місяців не поступало ніяких звісток. В аеропорту її зустрів брат, з яким вона відправилася в британське консульство. Там Сьюзан нічим допомогти не змогли, і відважна жінка вирішила самостійно відправитися в пошукову експедицію.
