7.3 Сюжет
Чоловік Керолайн розлучається з нею і одружується на багатій жінці. Забравши старшого сина, він їде і більше не цікавиться проблемами колишньої родини. Безробітна Керолайн бере молодшого сина Тобі і відправляється в безцільну поїздку по Америці. Вони зупиняються в декількох містах, де Керолайн намагається влаштувати їх життя. І одного разу доля зводить її з Двайтом, приємною і ввічливою людиною. Керолайн виходить за нього заміж, сподіваючись, що він принесе стабільність у їх життя і допоможе підняти Тобі. Але всупереч її очікуванням, в будинок входить суворий і запальний чоловік. При новому «батькові сімейства», деспоті і тирані, їхнє життя перетворюється на суцільне жахіття.
