Там жили наче мирні звичайні американці, але дуже скоро Гас зрозуміє: в порівнянні з цим божевільним сімейством будь-яка тюрма - просто рай. Мало того, що горе-подружжя цілими днями свариться між собою, до них ще приєднуються мати батька, сестра та син - один одного гірші. Тепер вже Гас опиняється в заручниках у сімейних проблем своїх заручників, і тепер його єдиний порятунок від повної втрати розуму - помирити цю безглузду пару.
