Після смерті голови сімейства мати з дочкою-підлітком Ліа не можуть знайти спільну мову. Щоб втекти від реальності, дівчина з друзями захопилася окультизмом. Її мати вирішує, що їх сім'ї потрібно змінити обстановку, і вони переїжджають в самотній будинок в лісі, далеко від друзів і школи Ліа. Відношення не налагоджуються, і після чергової сварки розсерджена дівчина йде в ліс і проводить обряд виклику духу, щоб той убив матір.
