Абсолютно новий погляд на всесвіт Людини-павука. Сценаристи помістили мультсеріал хронологічно в самий початок життєвого шляху Пітера Паркера. Наш герой - звичайний підліток 16-ти років, для якого розпочався черговий навчальний рік у старшій школі. Він вже став Людиною-Павуком, з чим ще не навчився жити. Використовуючи свої здібності, Пітер захищає місто від хвилі злочинності, тим самим нерідко ставлячи під загрозу стосунки з друзями та близькими йому людьми, так як ніхто не знає про його подвійне життя. Незважаючи на звичайний фрагментований формат мультсеріалу, в кожній серії завжди ведеться кілька сюжетних ліній, і герої, і лиходії спочатку завжди показуються як звичайні люди, характери прописані чітко, наявний їх розвиток. Сценаристи дуже вміло розклали сюжетну лінію на кілька логічних арок, де кожен персонаж обов'язково зіграє з часом свою роль. З'являється багато персонажів із коміксів та попередніх версій серіалу, про які не згадувалося у фільмах.
