Сюжет
Едвард – створений ексцентричним ученим, зовні схожий на людину, але замість рук у нього — гострі ножиці. Після смерті свого творця він залишається сам у старому замку. Одного разу до замку заходить представниця косметичної компанії Avon на ім’я Пеґ. Вона зустрічає Едварда й вирішує прихистити його у себе вдома. Там він знайомиться з її родиною, включно з донькою Кім, у яку закохується. Спочатку містяни приймають нового жителя з цікавістю: його незвичайні здібності дають змогу створювати дивовижні скульптури та робити унікальні стрижки.
