Коли вибух щільно закрив транспортний тунель, ті, хто вижили, опинилися під владою токсичного диму, вогню і загрози обвалу тунелю. Єдина надія на порятунок у руках Кіта Латури, колишнього голови медичної аварійно-рятувальної служби, якого переслідує трагічне минуле. Та попри все, Латура намагається вивести людей з охопленого полум'ям тунелю, прокладеного на глибині 30 метрів під Гудзоном.
