Як мовиться, геніальних художників багато, а ют тих, хто малювати уміє - мало... Юний Джеремі Платц був упевнений: вже він-то зі своїм талантом напевно проб'ється в кращі учні престижної школи мистецтв. А там недалеко і до світової слави! Поки лагодили машину Джиммі, що так не до ладу зламалася посеред дороги, він, щоб скоротати час, вирішив зайти до старого-провісника. Від нього Джиммі взнав, що незабаром справи його підуть в гору, а самому йому судиться померти - відразу після того, як випаде перший сніг. Джиммі не сприйняв слова старого всерйоз, але яке ж було його сум'яття, коли прогнози почали збуватися!
