Йшов собі якось випускник Арараґі Койомі в рідній школі по сходах, думав про своє, і тут, звідки не візьмись, згори на нього падає вродлива дівчина. Оскільки її політ був довгий, Койомі встиг упізнати свою однокласницю, Хітаґі Сенджьоґахару, по життю відлюдкувату і мовчазну. Підставивши руки, хлопець напружинився, думаючи, що його зажене в підлогу, але Хітаґі виявилася не важчою… за шкільний підручник. І незабаром Койомі зрозумів, що мовчить Хітаґі не від природної сором’язливості, а тому, що характер до болю крутий, і ще вона вміє дуже швидко діставати з повітря всілякі гострі предмети з арсеналу шкільних канцтоварів.Але і наш герой виявився не простим школярем. Довідавшись, що над дівчиною пожартував чи то бог, чи то демон, Арараґі в свою чергу теж зізнався, що не так давно і сам був вампіром, а допоміг йому з цим чи то святий, чи то хіпі на ім’я Ошіно Меме. Словом, переконав він дівчину, що гірше не буде, а, можиливо, там навіть допоможуть, і повів її до самітника у гості, на занедбаний будівничий майданчик. Адже у героїв робота така – дівчат із біди визволяти! А дівчат же в школі – так багато…

Він любить жінок, але вважає, що слово "одруження" потрапило в словник випадково. Вірадж добре заробляє і живе у своє задоволення. Вечірки, жінки і все таке. Але жіноча стать для нього існує тільки заради розваги. Сімріта Рай (Каріна Капур) - супермодель і феміністка до мозку кісток, взагалі не бачить потреби в чоловіках. Її точка зору - всі мужики невдахи. Близька подружка Сімріти, Каміні (Амріта Арора) - успішна модель, але, незважаючи на це, вона мріє вийти заміж за людину, яка її любить. Чоловік, діти і будинок - це її тема. Молодший брат Вірадж, Лакі (Афтаб Шівдасані) закоханий у Каміні і якраз хоче з нею одружитися, але Вірадж проти цієї «дурної» ідеї.
