«Війна і мир» - екранізація одноіменного роману-епопеї Льва Толстого, виробництвом якої займався британський канал BBC, який подарував глядачам такі хіти «класики на новий лад», як «Шерлок» (Sherlock) і «Мушкетери» (The Musketeers). У новому творінні ветерана телебачення, сценариста Ендрю Девіса, акцент зроблений на інтриги у відносинах персонажів, видовищні батальні сцени, автентичні інтер'єри (серіал знімався в тому числі в старовинних російських палацах і садибах), а також на точне відтворення епохи - від розшитих вручну костюмів до манери поведінки героїв. Укупі з проникливою грою акторів це зробило сучасну версію «Війни і миру» захоплюючою й глибокою історією, яка припаде до душі як пристрасним шанувальникам роману, так і абсолютно не знайомій з оригіналом публіці.

Ізабель — вампірка, якій уже 170 років, але вона назавжди застрягла у тілі двадцятирічної дівчини. Вона живе в Манілі й працює операторкою нічної зміни у кол-центрі, намагаючись вести звичайне життя серед людей. Її будні сповнені кумедних розмов із колегами, дружніх сварок і спроб приховати свою справжню природу. Водночас Ізабель намагається розібратися у власних почуттях, особливо коли починає симпатизувати своєму керівникові Тоні. Балансуючи між людським світом і вампірською сутністю, вона шукає сенс життя, яке триває набагато довше, ніж у звичайних людей.
