After a mysterious prisoner with only a few weeks left on his sentence breaks out of prison in Central City, the Elric brothers attempt to track him down. The search leads them to Table City in the southwestern country of Creta, where Alphonse rescues a young alchemist named Julia from the very man they are trying to capture. In the thick of the fight, they literally tumble into Julia's home turf, the slums of Milos Valley, and are embroiled in the grassroots rebellion of her people.

After being paired up, they will sing a song that was both composed, written and sung by them. If successful, they will join and take the spot as the new Shining Agency debut artists. Там він знайомиться з її товаришами, з якими він уже мав «щастя» поспілкуватись. В цій самій будівлі, на третьому поверсі, в кімнаті з кондиціонерами, моніторами та безліччю м’яких ведмежат, живе Аліса. Це не просто мініатюрна дівчинка, а справжній детектив-NEET. Вона ж і заправляє всією цією ватагою NEET-ів. Нарумі, сам того не бажаючи, приєднується до них. І з часом усвідомлює, що світ насправді не такий, яким він звик його бачити — в ньому повно відтінків добра і зла.
