Air Master, мабуть, одне з кращих файтінг-аніме створених досьогодні. ТenTen, Ikkitousen закурюють в сторононьці разом з екранізаціями відеоігор. В AM вдалося зібрати безліч оригінальних персонажів (кожний з своєю idea fix), що беруть участь в динамічних і часто брутальних сутичках, але при цьому не виділяючих ненависть і злість. В АМ ніхто не мстить. Б'ють в кров, ламають кінцівки, але не прагнуть убити. Реалістичність боїв дещо поступилася видовищності, але до файрболлів і інших кидаючих Кі не дійшло.

Старий чоловік вирішує допомогти покинутій дитині, незважаючи на осуд родини та односельців. Дівчинка знаходить у ньому захист і тепло, яких їй бракувало. Попри бідність і труднощі, їхній зв’язок стає джерелом сили. Інші члени родини не одразу приймають нову реальність, але поступово змінюють ставлення. Це зворушлива історія про доброту, співчуття та значення сім’ї.
