У світі, де всі люди мають однакову зовнішність через хірургічні зміни, дівчина відчуває себе відчуженою. Вона не може прийняти нав’язану стандартизацію і вирішує радикально змінити себе, щоб вирватися з безликої системи. Її шлях стає протестом проти суспільства, яке знищило індивідуальність. Поступово вона стикається з наслідками своїх рішень і питанням, що означає бути собою. Історія досліджує ідентичність, тиск суспільства і втрату унікальності.
Сюжет
У світі, де всі люди мають однакову зовнішність через хірургічні зміни, дівчина відчуває себе відчуженою. Кілька уцілілих реплікантів планують диверсію для знищення баз даних з інформацією про них, що дасть їм можливість спокійно жити. Дане аніме було знято на замовлення Дені Вільньова - режисера фільму "Той, хто біжить по лезу 2049", як передісторія до його фільму і відображення ключових подій між 2019 та 2049 роками.
