Літня подружня пара їде до Токіо провідати своїх старших дітей: сина, який став лікарем, і дочку, яка відкрила салон краси. Але діти дуже зайняті роботою і зовсім не мають часу на своїх батьків. Щоб якось зайняти батьків, вони відправляють їх на курорт до Атамі. Після безсонної ночі на галасливому курорті батьки повертаються назад і приймають рішення їхати додому, оскільки розуміють, що для всіх буде найкраще, якщо вони поїдуть і не заважатимуть сім'ям дітей жити своїм життям, в якому для них місця вже немає.
