Orphan Arun Verma utilizes his adult-hood in raising orphan children, in a house where he is unable to make ends as well as fulfilled the living expenses. International criminal and smuggler, Mogambo, wants his house to store arms and ammunition and thus give him a time-frame to vacate. Arun then decides to arrange for a tenant named Seema Sohni, a local newspaper journalist, to occupy the top flat of the house. Mogambo's men then decides to force Arun to vacate by targeting him and the children. Eventually Arun's dad's friend, Professor Sinha, introduces him to a gadget that will make him invisible, he tries this device and becomes invisible only to retaliates on Mogambo's men calling himself, "Mr. India". He also becomes popular among the people by assisting the ones who are subjected to injustice, no one knows who is this, "Mr. India", except Jugal. Things comes to a boil when one of Arun's children is killed while the others, Seema and he are abducted by Mogambo, who threatens to throw them in an acid pit if "Mr. India" does not show up. In a future in which most water has disappeared from the Earth, we find a group of children, mostly teenagers, who are living at an orphanage, run by the despotic rulers of the new Earth. The group in question plays a hockey based game on roller skates and is quite good. It has given them a unity that transcends the attempts to bring them to heel by the government. Finding an orb of special power, they find it has unusual effects on them. They escape from the orphanage (on skates) and try to cross the wasteland looking for a place they can live free as the stormtroopers search for them and the orb.

In the year Universal Century 0079, humans have colonized the area of space lying in between the Earth and the moon. However the ambitious Zabi family, rulers of the Duchy of Zeon (the grouping of colonies furthest from the earth) has sparked a war. Within the first week of this fratricidal conflict, one half of all humans have been decimated. The Duchy, within a month, has invaded and occupied half of the Earth's surface, thanks to the Duchy's ultimate weapon, 60-foot tall, heavily armed and highly maneuverable machines known as "Mobile Suits." The only thing that can save the Federal Forces of Earth is their top-secret "V" Project, based on the loyalist colony Side 7. The aim of the V Project was to build their Mobile Suits for the Federal Forces. As the film opens, Zeon attacks Side 7, sending its top ace, Char Aznable to stop the V Project. 15-year-old Amuro Ray, the son of the chief researcher to the V Project, is struggling to get his friends and neighbors to safety when he runs across an empty mobile suit. This is the Gundam, the sole remaining prototype mobile suit. Firing it up, Amuro becomes an ace almost immediately, killing two Zakus (the standard Zeon MS) with little effort. From there on in, Amuro is drafted into the Federal Forces as are other residents of the colony: Frau Bow, Amuro's neighbor and semi-girlfriend, Kai Shiden, a young photographer who would just as soon stay clear of combat, and Sayla Mass, a woman who seems to have an inordinate interest in Lt. Set in the futuristic year of 1999, a subplot about a damaged Indian nuclear satellite crashing and causing the end of civilization is a puzzling addition to the film.
