Фільм знято за знаменитою п'єсою Ніла Саймона "Босоніж у парку". Молодята Корі і Пол оселилися у скромній кімнаті на п'ятому поверсі з діркою в даху, без ліфта та опалення. Медовий місяць у розпалі, але з'ясовується, що Полу не до смаку спартанські умови і ексцентричні вчинки дружини.
