Банда з Мілана організовує грандіозне пограбування банку, вкравши понад мільярд лір. Оточеним поліцією грабіжникам все-таки вдається вислизнути. Але тепер їм треба залягти на дно і найкращим місцем, щоб перечекати, є монастир. Ніхто й не гадав, скільки часу їм доведеться провести в сутані без жінок, з купою грошей, які не можна витратити, до того ж займаючись вихованням маленьких бешкетників.
Сюжет
Банда з Мілана організовує грандіозне пограбування банку, вкравши понад мільярд лір. Оточеним поліцією грабіжникам все-таки вдається вислизнути. They engage the renowed Scorcelletti who can imitate any picture and who lives in Rome. Afterwards, with the help of the beautiful Eva, they convince the celebrated art critic Francisco Montiel of the existance of a third Maya and let him find the picture. When the swindlers are on the point of selling the faked maya to an American millionaire, Scorcelli comes back from Rome to sell one of his six other maya pictures.

Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Antonio Capurro, un ladruncolo travestito da prete, viene arrestato dal maresciallo Cottone. In seguito, durante un bombardamento il lestofante riesce a impossessarsi della divisa del poliziotto, lasciandogli l'abito talare. Inizia così una serie di comiche disavventure per i due, che devono eludere i nazi-fascisti che occupano il paese e nascondere i soldati alleati che stanno arrivando di nascosto. Alla fine, il paese verrà liberato ed Antonio sfuggirà ancora una volta al poliziotto.
