5.9 Сюжет
У фортеці на далекому острові десь у Середземному морі перебуває безіменний полонений. Під страхом смертної страти ніхто не сміє бачити в'язня без маски, що приховує його обличчя. А на іншому кінці воюючої Европи, у Парижі, сильна лихоманка ставить під загрозу життя Людовіка XIV, молодого короля Франції. На межі розриву підписання мирного договору з Еспанією, головною умовою якого повинен стати союз Людовика XIV і Інфанта Еспанського. Не буде короля – не буде вигідного весілля і довгожданого миру.
