Родинна історія легендарного сценариста фільму «Тіні забутих предків» — Івана Чендея. Брат і сестра — як тіло і душа. Їх було одинадцятеро у верховинській сім’ї Чендеїв на Тячівщині. Батько й мати обдарували чотирьох братів п’ятьма сестрами. Троє з них — Ганна, Ольга та Марта, — оповідають про непросту долю сім'ї та Закарпаття. І — брата Івана, якому судилося стати видатним українським письменником і сценаристом відомого українського фільму.

Найзаможніша родина вимушена бідувати. Також фільм оповідає про наслідки землетрусу 2015 року в Округлій. Коли земні поштовхи сколихнули село, Марія Федорівна перебувала у лікарні. Перед її поверненням додому рідні відремонтували тріщини в оселі, щоб уберегти бабусю Марію від хвилювань.Про долю жінки на тлі закарпатської історії.
